How to Recover From a Bad Date.... Things to Consider |

So, it was your First Date! And it didn't go quite the way you supposed it to be. Now you’re feeling puzzled, uncomfortable, humiliated and uneasy. But, calm down! We’re all humans and we’re all going to stumble upon the not-so-perfect date at some point in our lives. It can happen to a woman looking for a white man to date or a man looking for a trad wife on some online dating platforms or real-time dating. Here are some ways you can recover from a bad date.
Take a deep breath! And simply take a step back and think from beginning to end what happened and what can help to put things in standpoint. There are chances that you came to know about that things aren’t as bad as you think. And if they are, then you have a good story to tell. Assessing what took place can help you concluding if it’s something that can be fixed.
Consider the things why the date didn’t work. Was it lack of compatibility? Was your date late? If it was a compatibility issue, it’s a good thing you found out early. If your date was late, that’s something that could be discussed and fixed for future dates. And in the end, come out with the solution that “Whatever happens, happens for the good”.
If you were the one who was the reason to the date to take a wrong turn, then own it. You should apologize if it’s something big such as an insensible comment is done by you. If you have said something embarrassing or awkward, then deal with it head on and talk about it. Don’t ignore it; simply admit that it was awkward. Your date is possibly as nervous as you are, and it will likely be a relief and a way to lighten the mood.
Don’t start blaming yourself if the date didn’t go well. Sometimes it’s just a matter of chemistry that exists between two people and you need to keep this in mind. That’s neither your fault nor theirs. It’s something that happens so there’s no point of taking it personally. We are all perfectly imperfect so it’s time to let go of unrealistic expectations.
Don’t give up and don’t let this bad experience put a damper on your outlook. Take some time and let the dust settle. Your next date could be just what you’re both looking for. Don’t let a little mishap ruin what could potentially turn into a wonderful relationship. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn!
